A star was born
Eva Pawlik was European Champion 1949, 2nd at World Championships and Vice-Olympic-Champion in 1948. And she was the shooting star in the starting years of Viennese Ice Revue (Wiener Eisrevue).
The most famous Austrian figure skater of the 1940s did not only show solo- but also pair-performances in many programs of the Wiener Eisrevue. She and her husband and skating partner Rudi Seeliger were celebrated for their acrobadic slingshot elements (big picture). Eva Pawlik was also the first female TV sports commentator at the Austrian broadcasting cooperation.
