Sightseeing & more
When visiting Graz a trip up to the famous 120 meters high ‘Schlossberg’-hill and - on top of it - the town’s landmark ‘Grazer Uhrturm’ (watch tower) is mandatory. After a 1.5 Minute/2 € ride in the Schlossberg-elevator you will be rewarded with a stunning view over the city and its surroundings by day and even more with the city-lights on by night.
Downtown Graz concentrates alleys, historic squares and courtyards as well as the Castle Eggenberg, the Dome (built in the late Gothic Century), the ‘Landhaus’ (Renaissance) mingling with contemporary architecture such as the Arts Center ’Kunsthaus’ (lovingly called the ‘Friendly Alien’) or the floating art location ‘Murinsel’ are some of the sight-seeing highlights that can be explored in the Host City of the ISU European Figure Skating Championships®.
